Toscani, der Mann, der Caro und ihre Krankheit ins Licht der Öffentlichkeit brachte, sowie die Modemarke No-l-ita wollten mit ihrem ausgemergelten Körper ein Zeichnen gegen Essstörungen setzen.

Das Model war bei einem Casting unter Magersüchtigen ausgewählt worden und kassierte nur Euro für die Fotoaufnahme. Sie selbst sagte, sie bereue nichts.

Isabelle Caro hatte ihr eigenes Blog im Internet. Auf Rollen wartete sie vergeblich. Mit 13 Jahren war Isabelle Caro in die Magersucht geraten.

Manchmal durfte sie das Haus gar nicht verlassen. Ihr Vater, ein Geschäftsmann, war ständig unterwegs.

Ihre Mutter, eine Lehrerin, litt unter schweren Depressionen. Die kleine Isabelle wurde zu Hause unterrichtet.

Zu dem Zeitpunkt wog sie nur noch 32 Kilo. Schon damals wusste sie, dass ihre Magersucht Spuren hinterlassen würde. Vor dem Foto, das sie berühmt machte, war sie bis zu einer Grenze von 25 Kilo abgemagert.
