Somewhere within this film is a coherent story, but I'm not sure if this movie was coherent, I would enjoy it as much as I do.
Starting off with an absolutely bizarre and kind of insane opening sequence, My Soul to Take then becomes this weird supernatural slasher movie that is full of elements that have nothing to do with, well, anything.
There's a whole subplot about some bird that is stupid, as is the subplot about the so called "revolution" against the popular girl in school named Fang.
Any exposition that actually pertains to the central story is either completely forced, or revealed through dialogue, which of course is terrible.
Initially befuddling, Craven's plot-thick, expansive, and meaner than shit film uses the garish, nasty qualities of high school to inspire a number of explosive moments of horror.
Contains an elusive mythology, downright experimental performances, and a host of disorienting, transgressive maneuvers. I wish I could have heard Wes Craven's elevator pitch for this because I swear I watched this dead sober and I still couldn't tell you what the movie is about.

Bug goes back to his room, discovering Jerome, mortally wounded, in his closet. After Jerome dies, Alex reappears and suggests that Bug inherited Dissociative Identity Disorder from his father, and had unknowingly killed everyone.
Bug rejects this idea. The souls of the dead Seven are now part of him, and together they help him deduce that Alex is, in fact, the one with the Ripper's soul.
He proposes that they kill Fang and pin the murders on Jerome to appear as heroes. Bug refuses, stabbing Alex in the stomach.
